The PLSC organizes and sponsors various events throughout the year. Some recent events are listed below as information for members, prospective members, and other persons interested in PLSC activities.

Hunter Education Course
- Dates: Saturday & Sunday, 12 & 13 Sept 2026
- Times: 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM both days
- Location: PLSC Clubhouse and ranges

Celebration of 250 Years of Freedom
- Date: Saturday, July 4, 2026
- Location: PLSC Clubhouse and rangess
- Time: 10:00 AM to Noon EDT
- Lunch at Noon.
- "Gun Show": Members with a unique firearm are invited to bring it, shoot it, and show it off.
PLSC Work Bee - Spring 2026
- Date: May 16, 2026, Saturday
- Time: 9:45 AM to 12:30 PM
- Location: PLSC Ranges and Clubhouse
- Many volunteers are needed. There is plenty of work to be done.

Membership Meeting and Annual Business Meeting of the PLSC
- Date: Thursday, February 19, 2026
- Location:Super 8 Motel, Houghton MI
- Time: 6 PM - Social Hour & Pizza, etc.

Deer Rifle Sight-in Day
- Date: Saturday, November 1, 2025
- Location: PLSC Clubhouse and Covered Rifle/Pistol range.
- Time: 9:30 AM to 12:30 PM EDT
- Assistance and use of sighting-in equipment is available until 1:30 PM.
- Free bowl of chili available in the clubhouse at 12:00 PM.
- Public is welcome.
- No fees.
- Volunteers will be available to help answer questions you may have about shooting or firearm deer hunting.

Beginning Trapping Workshop
- Date: Saturday, 4 October 2025
- Location: PLSC Clubhouse
- Time: 9 AM - 4 PM
- Description: Instruction for trapping animals safely and humanely.
- No fees. Free lunch.
- For adults and kids age 10 and older. Limited to 20 students. Pre-registration required.

Multi-Gun Shoot
- Date: Saturday, 28 October 2023; Saturday
- Time: 9 AM to 2 PM, EDT
- Location: PLSC Ranges
- Admission: Open to any safe shooter.
- Entry Fee: $15
- Pre-registration: Participants in this event are required to pre-register.

Steel Challenge Shoot
- Date: Saturday, 7 October 2023
- Time: 9 AM to 1 PM, EDT
- Location: PLSC Ranges
- Admission: Open to any safe shooter.
- Entry Fee: $15
- Pre-registration: Participants in this event are required to pre-register.

Training Course: Stop the Bleed
- Date: Thursday, September 7, 2023
- Location: PLSC Clubhouse
- Time: 6 - 8 PM
- Description: This course will cover basic first aid for severe bleeding. The course is offered by local medical professionals.
- Fee: None. The course is free and open to the public.
